High-Purity Crystalline Soluble Fiber, Kestose
Kestose
Kestose is a major short-chain fructooligosaccharide (GF2)
produced from sugar and naturally found in garlic, onions,
bananas, and other plants.1-3) As a prebiotic, it serves as a
nutrient source for beneficial gut bacteria. Unlike conventional
powdered or liquid dietary fiber ingredients, Kestose can also
be produced in a high-purity crystalline form, enabling broader
food application possibilities.

* Dietary fiber content is based on the fructooligosaccharide content, in accordance with the U.S. FDA definition of dietary fiber under 21 CFR 101.9(c)(6)(i).
Kestose's Mechanisms of Action
Kestose is a short-chain fructooligosaccharide (FOS) recognized as a prebiotic ingredient and studied for its
interactions with the gut microbiota and related physiological pathways.
